Hello Friends and Art Lovers,
I am excited to share with you a special announcement—my brand-new website is launching soon, and with it, my very first blog! This blog will be a space where I can open about my artwork, sharing the inspirations behind each piece and explaining why I create the work that I do. My hope is that through this blog, you will gain a deeper understanding of what you see when you view my art and develop a greater appreciation for the process it takes to bring each creation to life.
Art has always been an important part of my journey, but starting this blog is also very personal for me. I was born with a hearing handicap, and because of this, expressing myself through writing has sometimes been a challenge. My world has often felt like fragments of information, making it hard to fully explain my thoughts and feelings. Taking on this blogging adventure is a way for me to become a better communicator, to improve my writing, and to share my story in a simple and honest way—with no makeup or pretenses.
My goal is to connect with all of you—my contacts, followers, and anyone interested in art—and build a meaningful relationship through regular monthly updates. Each post will cover different themes that help you see beyond the surface of my work, exploring the time, effort, and heart that each piece carries. I’ll also be reflecting on my growth as an artist and a writer, documenting my journey of becoming better despite any setbacks or challenges.
If you’re in Daytona Beach, Florida, my work is now on display at Gallery 500. I’d love your support and feedback, so please feel free to leave comments on the blog or reach out through my social media channels. If you want a personal “splash” piece, let’s discuss it.
This blog is more than just words on a page to me. It’s a way to invite you into my world and to encourage everyone—no matter your age or abilities—to keep growing and pursuing your dreams. When you support my work, you’re also contributing to a cause close to my heart—the protection of Florida Waters, which inspires so much of what I create.
As I start this new chapter, I’m also curious to learn more about younger generations and their relationship with art. In a world filled with gadgets and screens, what does art mean to you? I want this blog to be a space where different perspectives can come together and enrich our understanding of creativity.
Thank you for being part of my journey. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you each month and hearing your thoughts along the way.
With gratitude and inspiration,
Cherree Mallette
