The WINTER BACKYARD SERIES
Is a new series that was created the Winter of 2023.
The studies are done with a large brush, water-colour pigments, on homemade paper.

For these materials suited my emotions perfectly on showing what I am trying to portray.

For me to unwind and to think clearer is spending the day at the beach.

I always come home refreshed and in a better mindset.

Through time I’ve learned to become weightless and stand back from what I can’t control.

What an excellent way of showing weightlessness by seeing an air bubble floating over the ocean.

Beneath the Icefall’s Whisper captivates with its cool, immersive palette of blues that glide effortlessly from soft sky hues to deep teal shadows. The textured surface invites closer inspection, where subtle granules and scattered dark spots create a sense of quiet depth, like the hidden stories beneath frozen water. Silver streaks, irregular and gleaming with metallic shimmer, cut through the composition like gentle drips of melting ice, adding movement and contrast to the matte backdrop. The balance between these elements evokes the sensation of standing in cold, shifting water during a snowfall—dynamic yet hushed, vibrant yet still. This 6 x 6″ watercolor on arches captures a fleeting moment where temperature and texture blend, inviting viewers to feel the brisk chill and delicate rhythm beneath the surface.
