Splashparencies
Thirst captures a quiet moment of fluid stillness with remarkable precision. A spherical glass bowl, filled partially with water, becomes a stage for an intricate dance of bubbles rising and pausing in mid-swim. Rendered in soothing shades of blue, the image celebrates transparency and the subtle distortions created by curved glass surfaces, revealing a delicate balance between light, texture, and volume. Every bubble, every glint of reflected light, is carefully observed and brought to life, inviting a closer look at the simple beauty found in everyday elements. This piece invites reflection on the unseen worlds within something as ordinary as a bowl of water, blending scientific curiosity with visual poetry in a quiet, mesmerizing moment.

Is a new series that was created the summer of 2023. The studies are done with a large brush, water-colour pigments, on homemade paper. For these materials suited my emotions perfectly on showing what I am trying to portray. For me to unwind and to think clearer is spending the day at the beach. I always come home refreshed and in a better mindset. Through time I’ve learned to become weightless and stand back from what I can’t control. What an excellent way of showing weightlessness by seeing an air bubble floating over the ocean.
Working on my art is akin to embarking on a beachside adventure, where each day brings a new discovery, shaped by your vision and feelings. This transformative process allows me to transform blank spaces into something profoundly different, refreshing, and calming. I aim to magnetize viewers, drawing them in, inviting them to look closely and wonder more.
In selecting subject matter, I gravitate towards minimalist expressionism rooted in realism. This approach allows me to capture the essence of a scene while leaving ample room for personal interpretation.
What draws me to a particular scene is the concept of giving a thought through movement to water. Witnessing the interaction and the response it brings is a fascinating process. To me, water symbolizes life; it resonates with the notion that what you give, it returns in kind. This belief is reflected in how water, as captured through my lens, becomes a dialogue between my inner world and the natural one.
Water fundamentally inspires me. Its dynamic nature teaches me new lessons every day, fueling my artistic journey.
My technique—honed over years—is centered on mastering the transparency of water using oil paint on paper. The unique aspect of my work lies in its photographic realism, achieved without visible brush strokes. This method, painstakingly developed over time, lends my art a singular quality that blurs the line between painted creation and captured reality.
Through my work, I hope to instill a sense of life, serenity, and unceasing curiosity in those who encounter it, echoing the boundless inspiration I draw from the water.
The dry brush process works with oil paint straight from the tube. It is applied ever so lightly by brush, directly on acid free museum board and paper, repeating the application layer by layer to bring out the finer details and shadows.
