Learn more about Floating Weightlessly

Is a new series that was created the summer of 2023.
The studies are done with a large brush, water-colour pigments, on homemade paper.

For these materials suited my emotions perfectly on showing what I am trying to portray.

For me to unwind and to think clearer is spending the day at the beach.

I always come home refreshed and in a better mindset.

Through time I’ve learned to become weightless and stand back from what I can’t control.

What an excellent way of showing weightlessness by seeing an air bubble floating over the ocean.

About the Series

The Floating Weightless Summer Series contains 15 pieces of artwork. Three to each set that is about our layers of our Oceans. The Sunlight Zone the first layers more known as the epipelagic zone, captures a quiet tension between lightness and presence. A pale blue wash forms the backdrop, evoking the calm expanse of the ocean’s upper layer. At its center, a soft, large circle suggests an air bubble ascending through the water, a simple yet potent symbol of movement and transition. Across this gentle field, irregular silver lines carve a fragmented grid that both disrupts and unifies the composition. Their textured, metallic sheen contrasts with the subtle blues, recalling shifting light patterns beneath the surface. Some lines trail downward, as if slowly melting, enhancing a sense of fluidity and depth. This piece quietly explores the delicate balance found in nature’s layers—where light meets liquid, and forms emerge within shifting currents. It invites reflection on the invisible forces shaping our connection to the ocean’s many realms. Other oceanic zones include the Twilight Zone, also known as the mesopelagic layer, and the third layer, the Midnight Zone, referred to as the bathypelagic zone. 4th The Abyssal layer also known as (The Abyssopelagic Zone), and last but darkest layer the 5th (Hadal zone) known as The Trenches.
